Tom Christmann
Tom Christmann makes creative that goes social.
Tom Christmann's passion for social media combined with his ability to find the Big Idea and tell a brand story have led him to work at some of the best agencies in New York. Most recently, he was the ECD on Cadbury (Kraft) and Bloomberg at JWT. But that all changed in 2011, when Tom ventured out on his own and began freelancing for the first time ever. Inspired by the freedom, Tom made it official, creating Mongo Industries, a coalition of freethinking marketing professionals. Or, as Tom calls it, "a strike force for awesomeness in brand communications." Prior to JWT, Tom was ECD at Cliff Freeman & Partners, where he helped to bring Cliff's unique brand of impactful storytelling into the twenty-first century on brands like Quiznos and Baskin Robbins. He also helped create a Favorite-Website-Award-winning website for an agency that wasn't known for its digital chops. Before joining Cliff, Tom worked at Taxi, helping to establish the Canadian agency's much-less-Canadian New York City office. As Creative Director there, he helped build entirely new integrated campaigns for Amp'd Mobile, Blue Shield of California, Molson Canadian beer and the Versus television network. Tom was lucky enough to work directly with some of advertising's biggest names - including David Lubars and Eric Silver - on some of the world's biggest brands (FedEx, Ebay, Guinness, Red Stripe and AOL to name a few) as a Creative Director at BBDO. Tom credits his six years at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners in New York - as well as his first job in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather Direct - with giving him an appreciation for proven results and new technologies. He also once rode an elevator alone with David Ogilvy. Tom has won Lions, Pencils, Andys, Addys, Effies, Clios, the aforementioned FWA and several games of Words With Friends. He blogs at http://tchristmann.posterous.com. And you can also follow him at http://www.twitter.com/tchristmann. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two sons.

Anything is possible. Paul Lavoie says it in French. It sounds cooler that way.
Creative Director at BBDO
2003 - 2006
Hired by Gerry Graf. Worked for Eric Silver and Greg Hahn. Worked closely with David Lubars on some key projects. This is where I relearned everything I thought I knew. And where I got to work on some amazing brands. FedEx. Guinness. Ebay (the "IT" campaign). BBDO is a machine and it was fun to be a part of it.
Associate Creative Director at TBWA\Chiat\Day
2000 - 2003
Our Caramilk campaign for Cadbury is still used by the TBWA\Chiat\Day network to tout their connections capabilities. It was my first opportunity to do a big idea across many touchpoints, something I truly love doing.
Associate Creative Director at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners
1994 - 2000
Six of the best years of my life. Helped Target stores break the New York market here. And helped create a campaign for freeagent.com that still makes me happy. Oh, I also met my wife, Janet here. Good times...
Copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather Direct

Direct was the interactive of its time. If you can write a four page letter that begins "Dear Cardmember", you can pretty much write anything.

A strike force for good in brand communications made up of a coalition of freethinking marketing experts.

Do you bowl? Are you in advertising? In New York? Then why haven't you joined the Mad Men Bowling League? Are you scared? You are, aren't you?
